Hey! I’m a drummer and educator in Frisco, Texas with my Bachelor’s in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas (UNT), and I’m passionate about helping drummers of all ages and skill levels find their groove, truly grow confidence, and actually enjoy practicing!
I’ve been playing drums since I was about 7 years old, and from the start I knew this was more than a hobby—it was something I wanted to master and share. Over the years, I’ve built a deep love for jazz, groove-based playing, and everything from strong fundamentals to expressive, creative drumming. In addition to jazz I love teaching many more styles including rock, pop, and drum line among others!
As an active musician in the DFW area, I’m constantly performing, collaborating, and learning in real-world music settings. I don’t just teach from books—I bring what I’m doing on stage and in rehearsals straight into lessons, so students get practical, modern musicianship they can use right away.
I also have international performance experience in Korea, and I served as a drummer in the Korean Air Force military band. That experience pushed me in the best way possible—it built discipline, consistency, and the ability to perform under pressure at a high level. I bring that same energy into my teaching while keeping lessons fun, encouraging, and tailored to each student.
With years of teaching experience, I’ve worked with beginners picking up sticks for the first time, as well as advanced players looking to sharpen technique, improve timing, build speed, or prepare for auditions and performances. My goal in every drum lesson is simple: help you sound better fast while building skills that last.
